Every year, nearly 10 lakh aspirants appear for the prestigious Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Coal India Limited (CIL) launches NIRMAN (Noble Initiative for Rewarding Mains Aspirants of National Civil Services Examination) to support and encourage candidates from its mining districts who qualify the Preliminary stage of the UPSC Civil Services and Forest Services Examination 2025.

Under this scheme, each qualifying candidate is provided with a financial assistance of ₹1 lakh to help them prepare for the next stages of the examination. The objective of NIRMAN is to motivate the future Karmayogis who will contribute significantly to the nation’s growth journey under the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

In NIRMAN 2024, a total of 80 applications were received, out of which 66 eligible candidates were extended support after due scrutiny. Among these, 13 candidates qualified for the Personality Test, and 6 were ultimately selected in the final list recommended by the UPSC.

Notably, all six successful candidates are women, marking a proud milestone for the initiative. The candidates are:

हर वर्ष, लगभग 10 लाख अभ्यर्थी संघ लोक सेवा आयोग (UPSC) द्वारा आयोजित प्रतिष्ठित सिविल सेवा परीक्षा में सम्मिलित होते हैं।

कोल इंडिया लिमिटेड (CIL) ने अपनी कॉरपोरेट सोशल रिस्पॉन्सिबिलिटी (CSR) पहल के तहत NIRMAN (Noble Initiative for Rewarding Mains Aspirants of National Civil Services Examination) योजना शुरू की है, जिसका उद्देश्य UPSC सिविल सेवा एवं वन सेवा परीक्षा 2025 की प्रारंभिक परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने वाले अपने खनन जिलों के अभ्यर्थियों को प्रोत्साहन एवं आर्थिक सहायता प्रदान करना है।

इस योजना के अंतर्गत, प्रत्येक पात्र अभ्यर्थी को मुख्य परीक्षा की तैयारी हेतु ₹1 लाख की वित्तीय सहायता दी जाती है। NIRMAN योजना का उद्देश्य भावी कर्मयोगियों को प्रेरित करना है, जो विकसित भारत @2047 की परिकल्पना को साकार करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाएंगे।

NIRMAN 2024 के अंतर्गत कुल 80 आवेदन प्राप्त हुए, जिनमें से 66 पात्र अभ्यर्थियों को जांच के पश्चात सहायता प्रदान की गई। इनमें से 13 अभ्यर्थी व्यक्तित्व परीक्षण के लिए चयनित हुए, तथा 6 अभ्यर्थी अंतिम रूप से UPSC द्वारा अनुशंसित सूची में चयनित हुए।
